Located in South Florida, TGS Signature BBQ Sauce is a minority and Veteran-Owned Business recognized by both the State of Florida and the National Veteran-Owned Business Association.
Our Founder
Teren Carswell is the President & Chief Executive Officer of TGS Signature BBQ Sauce, a veteran-owned business. Teren has worked in public service for over 18 years. Teren has volunteered and worked in leadership positions for various non-profit organizations and has assisted with youth mentoring programs within his community. He has been recognized for his commitment, integrity, and dedication toward helping others maximize their full potential.
In 2019, Teren was called to duty by the United States Army. During the deployment, the world was ravaged by the COVID-19 Pandemic. After being honorably discharged from active duty, Teren returned home. There was difficulty in his transition back to the "civilian" world. While trying to transition, Teren lost several friends and family members in a short span of time due to COVID-19.
One of his key supporters was his grandmother, Mrs. Hattie Mae Crawford (April 24, 1925 - April 17, 2021). Overwhelmed with grief while trying to cope with anxiety and depression, he had to delve deep within to find his passion. That passion was to create handcrafted, flavorful BBQ sauces for friends and family to enjoy. Thus, in April of 2021, TGS Signature BBQ Sauce, LLC was established.
Teren is an advocate for Mental Health Awareness, Autism Awareness and organizations that support those who are visually impaired or blind.
